Congratulations!

You have made it to the final week of the Introduction to Human Development course. Thank you for your insightful and reflective engagement on the discussion boards throughout the course.

In this week's module, we look at Abraham Maslow's conception of the 'peak experience' - also known as 'transcendent' or 'self-transcendent experience' - and its role in human development. You will then be given an opportunity to reflect on what you have learnt about your own development over the semester. Finally, you will be asked to give some informal feedback on your learning experience on this course.

Remember - our knowledge of human development is never complete. As counsellors and human beings we constantly encounter people and ideas that challenge our understanding of growth, development and well-being. Keeping an open-yet-critical mind is essential to the learning process. Go forth and develop!
